About:
Spending two years at NEC was a formative and amazing experience. I eventually transferred to Amherst College, and after some time working in various jobs, went to medical school at Columbia in New York. Several years of postgraduate medical training followed, and I am now a pulmonologist and critical care doctor. I see patients regularly, but I primarily spend my time doing research in a lab at Stanford. The Lesser studio was perhaps the most remarkable part of my musical training at NEC. It was a very supportive atmosphere tended by a very supportive and inspirational teacher. My studio mates were exceptionally talented and hard working. I felt honored to be a part of the group, and I learned a tremendous amount in those two years.
